Face Shields by Bollé Safety : Safety and Comfort
What is a Protective Visor, and What is Its Purpose?
The protective visor is especially useful when working in industrial environments with multiple mechanical hazards. It’s ideal for artisans working in settings with eye hazards. It is crucial to protect your eyes and even your face from impacts like splashes, dust, or chemicals. Preventing these risks is essential.
The width of the visor is an important factor when choosing your protective visor or face guard. This will determine whether you are fully or partially protected while working. Additionally, your face guard will offer you an exceptional 180° field of vision.
Depending on the version, the protective visor can guard against arc flash due to a short circuit, like when working in abrasive environments^p>
How to Know if the Face Shield is Comfortable and Easy to Use?
Comfort is a priority for Bollé Safety when designing face guards. If the face shield is uncomfortable, you’re likely to wear it less, leading to reduced protection. So, choose a comfortable protective visor.
First, our face shields feature an adjustable headband to fit all head shapes. The protective visor’s comfort foam is also highly appreciated, allowing you to wear your PPE for longer throughout the day. One of the advantages of a face shield or protective visor is having a flip-up face, allowing you to work with or without the shield while keeping it on your head.
Our face guards are also easy to assemble. In just a few moments, you’ll have a functional and ready-to-use face guard for your protection. Across our three face shield models, replacement faces are available to ensure a clear view.
Comfort is also enhanced by the anti-fog treatment available on the flip-up protector model. Learn more about our PLATINUM anti-fog technology.
How to Maintain and Clean a Face Shield?
To keep your protective visor in good condition for as long as possible, follow these tips:
Use cleaning products suitable for anti-fog treatment. Discover our B-Clean range and cleaning solutions.
To clean the face guard, use lukewarm water and mild soap to wash the shield. Avoid harsh cleaners that may damage materials, and wipe your protective visor with a soft cloth, like microfiber. Storage is also essential in protecting your face shields. Keep your face shield in a protective case or bag, stored in a cool, dry place.
Finally, it’s normal for the shield to wear over time as it protects you from various impacts. At that point, you’ll need to purchase a suitable replacement for your protective visor.
