YOUR PPE GOES PINK
BREAST CANCER AWARENESS
Bollé Safety is proudly Partnering with Breast Cancer Network Australia during the month of October for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Over 20,000 Australians will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year, including around 200 men. For every person diagnosed, we know there is a ripple effect on their family, friends, colleagues and community. Every day 57 Australian families will experience the physical, emotional and financial impacts of a breast cancer diagnosis.
Australia's largest breast cancer consumer organisation, Breast Cancer Network Australia, or BCNA works to ensure that every Australian affected by breast cancer receives the very best care, treatment and support. With the help of its more than 160,000 members, the BCNA conducts critical fundraising to provide information and support, connection and a voice for those affected.
Bollé Safety has proudly joined BCNA’s Pink Tradie campaign, currently in its third year in Australia, with its ‘Your PPE Eyewear Goes Pink’ initiative. Throughout the campaign, tradies are encouraged to ‘pink up’ at work, host fundraising events and start the conversation with workmates about breast cancer. Funds raised go towards helping BCNA to provide essential information and support services to those affected.
As part of their support, Bollé Safety has made a $10,000 donation to the charity. They have also developed a new pink framed model of safety glasses to drive awareness and support workers who want to ‘pink up’ at work in support of Breast cancer awareness. In addition to the initial donation, a portion of the sale of each pair of pink safety glasses will be donated to BCNA.
In addition, Bollé Safety aims to drive awareness of the BCNA with distributors and end users, both as a result of the product itself and due to associated promotional campaigns across digital, social, printed and experiential media.
The safety glasses chosen for the ’your PPE goes Pink’ initiative are Rush+ Small, in both clear and smoke lenses. Rush+ is one of the most popular designs in the Bollé Safety glasses range due to its sporty design, flexible temples and Platinum scratch and fog-resistant coating. As an excellent all-round safety spectacle, Rush+ is available in a small size which makes it a favourite for those with smaller or narrower faces.
